Personal dossier completion speed record!

Things are really moving fast! Wendy talked to our agency today and they said we are first in line for a referral. There are no couples waiting ahead of us.

A big milestone occurred when our dossier was couriered to Russia this past weekend. This is a big stack of documents that is used in Russia to enter us into "the system". I referred to these documents as the "identity theft package". Anything that anybody needs to know about us is in those documents.

We submitted dossier's twice for Jason's adoption. This time around it has taken us two months less time than the fastest of those previous dossier's, making for a personal best speed record. We really didn't rush too fast, I just think we are getting very efficient at the paperwork and we had few hic-ups getting things completed by other people.

The next step is that the dossier will be translated into Russian, then we will be registered to adopt in one of the Russian regions. Last time we went to Moscow Region. We would love to return there, but will register with the region that will give us the best chance of adopting a young girl. Right now we don't know for certain where that is. It could be Tula, it could be St. Petersburg. If we registered in Moscow, we would likely travel the first week of October.

That's all for now...
