On April 27, 2006 we officially became a family. This is the day we celebrate as adoption day.
We are all doing great together and the last year has been more than we ever could have imagined. Our journey to Jason Alexei was a long one, but we finished it. So many times we were encouraged by people with the saying, "It will be all worth it in the end." My cynical side sometimes shrugged off their optimism as too trite. I could not have been more wrong.
What we are learning is that the race is never over. For now we are transitioning into a phase where we assist others on the same race. It truly is our calling. We want to be the people saying, "It will be all worth it in the end".
