Mailbox Whack 2007!!!

Another year, another mailbox whacking at the Lenentine household. Today it was the mother of my neighbor who whacked my mailbox. The same neighbor's wife did the November 2005 whack job. They replaced the mailbox back then and it was this same mailbox that was destroyed today. Chucky and I painstakingly restored this mailbox after an anonymous whack in December 2005.

So, the neighbors bought me another new mailbox and installed it! I give them a lot of credit for that. It really looks nice. They have two children living at home and other one is at college, so they should probably start saving up to buy me a couple more.

The old mailbox is really in pretty sad shape. I probably could have fixed it again if it had been another anonymous mailbox whacking. I wonder if this whacking is an omen for something? Hmmm....It makes me wonder.

Since I have this old mailbox hanging around, Jason Alexei now has something new to pound on. It's nice having him around to help with projects.
