She has been doing well. She is definitely more attached to us and us to her. She is getting some more height, as evidence by her new ability to open just about any of our doors. She is still pretty lightweight, but we are being patient knowing that in time she should catch up.
Jason is getting more protective of her. When she cries he brings her a doll or sings "twinkle twinkle" to make her feel better. He sometimes says, "I want Grace to go back in bed." or "Hey -- that's my stuff!" but nothing beyond typical big brother stuff.
Grace climbs onto everything and is fearless in that respect. She already climbs up the ladder to get onto the slide. We have to watch her like a hawk. Inside the house, there have been some head konks, so hopefully she learns a healthy fear of climbing soon.
This short video shows Grace playing on the slide.
Here she is enjoying a moon bounce we rented for Jason Alexei's birthday party. She loved the moon bounce. Jason warmed up to it after a little shyness toward it.
Here is Grace going for a "swing" with mommy.
Poor Grace needs some more toys of her own. When she first came home toys were either for throwing or for chewing. Since then, she has been learning how to play and Jason helps with that immensely. Unfortunately she spends most of her time playing with Jason toys which are 90% trucks or balls. Not that there is anything wrong with athletic chics who dig trucks. Wendy on Bob the Builder is one such chic. All I am saying is Grace needs some Grace toys...
For example, Jason got a golf set for his birthday from a friend. While Jason was swinging on the swingset, Grace stole a few minutes to practice her swing. She learned it is easier to whack the big ball.
