Photo Session

As I mentioned in a previous post, we had some pictures taken by a very adoption friendly photographer. We'd highly recommend Carla if you need photos taken in the Huntsville area. Our prints turned out great. We also got a CD from the session that included "web quality" pictures that we can use online. We are really glad to have them. The watermark is obviously not on the prints we ordered, just on the CD photos. I won't post them all, but will share a few.

We finally have a decent picture of the four of us! This one is now on our mantle.

Wendy really liked the pictures of Jason and Grace that were taken on a log. The setting was the fountain by the entrance to Hampton Cove (a swanky area of Huntsville).

We started the adoption process for Grace less than one year after we had brought Jason home. It was always our desire that Jason have a sibling with a common experience and background as he. Years from now, when we are gone, they will both have that to share. Since Jason is Russian, it was important to us that he have a Russian sibling. Given the uncertainty in the international adoption process we chose to pursue the second adoption quickly. You can never really know how long Russia will continue to be open.

With that said, this picture was my favorite. I love how it is just the two of them walking down the same path together.

It's great that through the years to come, Jason and Grace will always have their special bond.
