Here are the promised room pictures. Let's start with Jason Alexei's new room.

This is the view looking from the front window towards the corner of the room. The door to the room is just out of view on the left. As can be seen, we put some floating shelves up. The top shelve houses some Russian rockets. From left to right they are the N-1, Proton, and part of a Vostok. The Vostok was crunched by some big bear paws and is in need of some repair. One of these years I will get a couple more built. There is room on the shelf for them.
The bear on the middle shelf is dressed in a traditional Russian boy's outfit.
The bottom shelf has a U.S. flag that was flown on top of the U.S. Capitol to commemorate Jason Alexei's adoption and obtaining U.S. citizenship. To the left of the flag is a certificate from Senator Session's office stating that fact. The order form for a similar flag for Grace's room will be placed in the mail tomorrow. The small flags symbolize his dual Russian/US citizenship.
The dresser was one that I have had for nearly 20 years. Wendy refinished it in black. I smoothed over some swirly thingys that made it look a little dated. We replaced the hardware with something a little more modern.
Here is a book case/window seat that I have built a couple weekends ago. Jason loves reading so we need something to hold lots of books. We need to get a pillow or something on it so that he can sit on it comfortably. We moved the bookcase into his room today and it looks good. He had lots of fun moving his books into it.

Jason had a very strong reaction to having his new room getting so much attention. Do you think he likes it???

Now let us move on to Grace's room. Here is the paint as it originally came. It is called "celery bunch". Where do they come up with these names?

And here it is going on the wall.

The paint color came out a little strong, so Wendy took it back and had soften the color. I do not have pictures of the final look yet. We need to move furniture back into it and need to do a few other things so I'll have some more pictures later.
