We're still on track to travel. The visas arrived on Friday. Big relief there! The Delta pilots are being nice for now. Perhaps my counter-protest threats moved them to be agreeable.
Nevertheless, Delta nearly hozed us big time. We have been able to switch our original flights so that we are able to shorten the trip duration. During one of the switches, Delta had us overnighting in Atlanta after a one hour flight from Huntsville. Effectively, our Moscow flight was on the wrong day and we would have shown up for court a day late! Nyet! We didn't catch it at first, and neither did any other Delta people after it occurred. They had several chances and so did we. It wasn't until I checked the itinerary for the third trip that I noticed the mistake. Delta admitted the mistake as their own fault and corrected the problem. Disaster averted.
The trip one preparations went pretty smoothly. By comparison trip two preparations have been far more stressful. Hopefully things will be less stressful once we get to Moscow, but somehow I doubt it.
The room is essentially done. We moved the furniture in and everything looks nice. There is just enough room in there for a rocking chair. Wendy doesn't want me posting pictures of the room until she's worked on it a little more. So hang loose for now.
