We've Landed

We safely arrived in Russia and the Hotel Ukraina. Things look MUCH different without the snow.

Our friends Matt and Margie took us to the airport with their children JT and Emma (JT and Margie met us at the airport for our first departure on trip #1). Our other friends Stephen and Cindy Pethel and their son Cole were at the airport for a flight to San Diego. It was nice to spend some time with them before we flew out. As of our departure, their plane was late. Hopefully they made it to San Diego!

We didn't have a window seat on our Moscow flight so I didn't get any pictures as we flew in. It would have been nice to compare the snowy pics with the brown everything is right now.

Court will not be tomorrow. A meeting tomorrow will occur at our coordinator's office where we may get some information about the schedule for the week. Once we are done with the meeting then we'll travel to Vidnoye to see Jason Alexei. That's the plan as of today. It's Russia so reality tomorrow may be completely different.

We have a different driver and translator this time. We are actually car-pooling with Lori and Antoine, the couple from Houston we travelled with last time. Since our first trips their daughter has moved to the same orphanage as Jason Alexei so it makes sense for us to ride together. Their van has much more room, so it seems like a winner to me.

That's all for now. We arrived here earlier than last time so I am going to take a nap! I still can't sleep on planes and I'm wiped out!?!?!
