Family Red Square Outing

We had a really good evening and first night together. Jason Alexei lived up to his orphanage reputation of being a good eater and sleeper. He has stayed on his schedule very well, despite what was a major "disruption"to his routine yesterday.

Here's mom and son ready to go to Red Square.

And this is how he spent most of the time. This was not condusive to cute pictures that we'll want to share with everyone. Oh well.

He eventually woke up and we were able to get some shots.

We didn't do the Lenin Mausoleum thing. Too much hassle, they way it works you can't take in any cameras, bags, etc. Too much effort.

After Red Square we went to Dietsky Mir (children's world). It's a big childrens store like FAO Schwartz. Very Westernized, but everything is made in China. The world really is getting smaller. In an ironic twist, the KGB building is across from the store and I forget to get pics. Darn!

I would post more pictures from today but the connection is a little slow right now. This afternoon after naps are over we may take a walk around the area of the hotel. The flowers are blooming so maybe we could get some good pics.

Tomorrow we are planning to go to Gorky Park. That should be fun to get outside. I'd like to do a driveby to get a picture with a statue of a certain person...We'll see.
