Gorky Park, Uncle Yuri, and Godfather Alexei

We had another fun and relaxing day today. We started off with a car ride a little north back to the Avenue of the Cosmonauts and the Space Obelisk. We went there on trip one on a "distract the Lenentines"session. We always said we'd go back with Jason Alexei to meet his Uncle Yuri and the Godfather of the Cosmonauts -- Alexei Leonov.

Jason slept through most of this jaunt, as he's been prone to do. But towards the end he woke up and we managed to get a few pics of him. These kinds of trips are obviously more for his papa than for him, but maybe he''ll appreciate the effort some day.

Here's us and Uncle Yuri.

Jason meets Alexei Leonov. He said "GRRRRRRR"to him so he must like him!!!

I'll post more pics from this trip when we get back. After that we went to beautiful Gorky Park along the Moscow River. The tulips are in bloom and really are pretty. Here's the entrance.

Could you guess how Jason enjoyed it! This is how much he enjoyed it. He's pretty relaxed with us, I must say.

He did wake up enough to start sucking his finger, not his thumb, as he likes to do.

Later in the afternoon I went to the grocery store to pick up some supplies and took some pictures around Hotel Ukraina, probably for the last time. Here's the famous statue I coul'dn't identify. Now that the snow is melted, it's revealed the name of this guy is the Ukrainian poet Shevchenko. There you have it.

Tomorrow we go to the US embassy have Jason's doctor visit for his passport. Take care everyone...
